The commonly used types of additives for polyurethane waterproof coatings currently include catalysts, chain extenders, retarders, UV absorbers, anti-aging agents, solvents, and defoamers.
Catalysts mainly include organic metal salts and organic amines, such as dibutyltin dilaurate, stannous octanoate, stannous oleate, etc. Compound catalysts can be used according to different reaction temperatures and times, with a dosage of about 0.03% -0.06%.
Inhibitors such as benzoyl chloride, citric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, etc. can be used to maintain the acidity of the medium. 85% phosphoric acid can be selected, and the dosage is generally 0.2% -0.4% of the polyether amount.
UV absorbers mainly include benzophenone compounds, heterocyclic compounds, and metal complexes, while anti-aging agents mainly include phenols, amines, etc. The combination of UV absorbers and anti-aging agents yields better results. The solvent is generally xylene and butyl acetate, with a dosage not exceeding 10%.
